Chief Executive Officer
Dale is the 5th generation of the Carter family to sit at the helm of Walter Carter Funerals. An Eastern Suburbs local, she is proud to own and run one of the leading independent funeral homes in Australia.
With almost a decade of experience in the funeral industry under his belt, Colin is committed to providing client families with the care, compassion and advice they need when arranging a funeral for their loved one.
After 16 years working as a police officer in Victoria, Steven moved to Sydney and joined Walter Carter Funerals. Empathetic and understanding to client needs, he provides families with the advice they need when arranging a service.
Richard worked in the transport industry in the United Kingdom and Australia before making a career change and moving into the funeral industry. He now arranges and conducts funerals for families across the Eastern Suburbs.
Chris has vast experience in the funeral industry across Sydney and regional NSW. He is actively involved in several parish choirs in the Eastern Suburbs and has a strong understanding of funeral and liturgical planning. His gentle manner enables him to walk with families on their grief journey as they plan a funeral for their loved one.
Linda joined the funeral industry after a career as a registered nurse. A lifetime resident of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, she joined the Walter Carter Funerals team to continue her development as funeral consultant. Linda brings a wealth of experience and understanding to all her dealing with client families.
Peter came to Walter Carter Funerals after moving to Australia from Ireland. Starting in administrative support, he now supports the business in a wide range of ways and is our key liaison with NSW Births, Deaths & Marriages.
Growing up, Jasmine knew she either wanted to work in the film and television industry or become a funeral professional. After several years in media production and entertainment, she decided it was time to follow her true aspiration to work in the funeral industry. A newcomer to the industry, she is also completing a degree in social science.
Mortuary Manager and Coordinator
Leanne has worked across all facets of the funeral industry, including arranging, conducting and management. She now oversees our mortuary care, providing respectful and attentive service to our client families.
Amber has always had a strong interest in the funeral industry, particularly mortuary care and services. While studying at university, Amber worked in various roles in the hospitality industry and this has contributed to her ability to understand and appreciate people from all walks of life.
Kieran has experience across most facets of the funeral industry and now heads up Walter Carter Funerals’ IT systems. He also co-ordinates tributes and audio visual packages, ensuring memories are captured for our client families.
Bereavement Care Coordinator
Donna leads our Community Service Program, providing support and care to our client families when they need it most. She is a leader in the field of grief and bereavement, and is well-known throughout the Eastern Suburbs.
After a successful career as a teacher, Michelle joined the team at Walter Carter Funerals. Now, for more than 16 years, she has managed all the financial functions of the business.
Jillian came to Walter Carter Funerals in 2015 after working in finance management in the publishing industry. In addition to assisting with the finance function, she also oversees the return of cremated remains to our client families.
Cathie grew up in the funeral business – her father was employed as Walter Carter Funerals’ Resident Manager for many years while she was growing up. She returned ‘home’ when she became our receptionist in 2013.
